Calcit, d.o.o.

Calcit, d.o.o. is a producer of calcium carbonate fillers, granulated products and sands.

The production plant with its own quarry is situated in the village of Stahovica near Kamnik, about 30 km north of Ljubljana.

Calcit employs about 110 people and is run by a six-member supervisory board and a one-member management board.

Calcit extracts the raw material from its quarry in Stahovica, whose unique characteristics are an exceptional cleanness and high whiteness of stone, which enable the manufacture of high quality products.

At Calcit we acknowledge the importance of environmental protection. We therefore systematically develop and invest in technologies and procedures for the reduction of environmental and community burdens. We also provide sponsorship for various sports and cultural activities in our municipality, as we are convinced that the social responsibility of every company is an essential element of its success.

We are the leading supplier of calcium carbonate fillers on the Slovene market and a significant one in other European countries. Through successful sales of our product, the company's reputation is steadily increasing and intensifying in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Russia, Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, as we aim to expand the sales onto the markets of many other countries, we regularly attend international meetings and fairs. Our future focus remains on further investment in our quarry, separation and production facilities in order to extend the range and quality of our products, as well as favourably impact the environment.
